Overall Responsibility:

An Associate Project Manager (APM) works directly with clients on smaller, less complex projects to successfully manage a project's schedule, scope, and budget.  APM’s require little Senior Project Management supervision. Routinely and successfully manages staff member(s) from project inception to final closeout.  APM are SEI client’s primary contact

Key Areas of Responsibility:

 

  1. Coordinates with Engineers, Designers, and technical professionals through weekly project workload and manpower forecasting
  2. Correctly identify and detail scope of work at project inception. (scope)
  3. Ability to anticipate and identify project activities that fall outside of agreed to scope during the course of a project.
  4. Demonstrate a desire to and behavior that projects harmony with diverse clients, peers, vendors & management.
  5. Efficiently utilize & coordinate all SEI resources, internal staff & departments to complete the project objectives.  
  6. When required, work nights and weekends projecting a high level of flexibility.                                                              
  7. Effectively manage workflow and production rates of team members. (schedule)                                                    
  8. Monitor schedules, billings and reports, ensures appropriate charging of man-hours, costs, and expenses to projects. (budget)                                                       
  9. Demonstrated performance on past projects that leads to repeat business with existing SEI clients.                                                                                                                                                  
  10. Administer and coordinate with SEI Contract Administration staff to ensure contract compliance.                              
  11. Ensure SEI Quality Assurance/Quality Control requirements are met.                                                                                 
  12. Ensure SEI Safety Programs/Policies are met.                                                                                                                            
  13. Ensure SEI Survey Policies/Procedures are met.                                                                                                                        
  14. Make suggestions on methods to improve production, quality, moral and general customer service.                         
  15. Meet or exceed all Survey Technician 3 requirements. 
  16. Additional duties as assigned.

Experience, Proficiencies, Skills and Certifications:

Valid Georgia Driver's License, ability to pass a Security Background check, knowledge of advanced survey procedures, and minimum 5 years of related experience.   Various related CAD skills, Microsoft Word, Adobe, Photoshop and Excel
