An Instrument Operator 2’s primary responsibility is the support of a Survey Party Chief through efficient project production. Must be self-motivated individual that works well in a team-oriented environment.  

1. Proficient understanding of Boundary resolution and associated research.
2. Proficient understanding of Topographic Mapping.
3. Proficient Route Surveying knowledge.
4. Proficient in all related surveying instruments, data collectors and other peripheral surveying tools.
5. Excellent client skills understanding that everyone we meet may be a potential client.
6. Excellent communications and relationship building skills.
7. When required, work overtime, third shifts and out of town projecting a high level of flexibility.
8. Present yourselves as professionals at all times.
9. A thorough understanding of SEI surveying policies and procedures.
10. Familiar with SEI safety policies and procedures
11. Error free data, eliminating the need to "Go back"
12. Keep your work truck stocked with the required tools at all times.
13. Proficient understanding and ability to create field sketches and notes.
14. Anticipate how, when, where, Crew Chief needs assistance
15. Accurately record time spent on each task each day.
16. Additional duties as assigned.

Valid Georgia Driver's License with a good driving record, ability to pass a Security Background check, base knowledge of various survey procedures.  1-3 years of experience required.  Desire to gain additional knowledge and training.

Must be able to stand (for long periods of time), walk (up to miles at a time), work in all elements (wind, rain, cold, heat, etc.), hammer, dig, lift and carry surveying equipment (up to 50 pounds for short periods of time) or tools.  Candidate will be required to work along heavily traveled roads and for safety, somethings at night.
